About Me
I am the project leader of the BioGPS application. Undoubtedly the single smartest development decision we made is that I am not allowed to touch a single line of the core BioGPS code. I can only add content through the same plugin interface that every other user has access to. Similarly, I can only personalize BioGPS using the same layout creation features that other users use. We are big believers in dog-fooding software, and usually BioGPS tastes pretty good.In a parallel effort, my group also spearheads the Gene Wiki effort. Together, BioGPS and the Gene Wiki explore the use of community intelligence in biological and biomedical research. In addition, my group conducts basic biomedical research projects ranging from mouse genetics to cancer biology.
