A whole-transcriptome analysis was carried out to evaluate the potential impact of NPSR1 coding SNPs on receptor signalling properties. HEK293 cells transiently transfected with different NPSR1 coding variants were stimulated with NPS for 6 h, and changes in gene expression downstream of NPS-NPSR1 signalling were quantified with Affymetrix GeneChip Human Genome U133 Plus 2.0 arrays.
