Dataset: Transcription profiling of pancreas from Wistar or WBN/Kob rats to study chronic pancreatitis

[u'Wistar rats, purchased from BRL (F\xef\xbf\xbdllinsdorf/BL, Switzerland), and', {u'br': None}, u'WBN/Kob rats, purchased from SLC Inc. (Shizuoka, Japan), were', {u'br': None}, u'specific pathogen-free. Rats were housed in groups of maximally 4 in', {u'br': None}, u'standard cages (1,820 cm2 bottom area) and kept in our animal facility', {u'br': None}, u'for various time periods between 1 week and 36 weeks', {u'br': None}, u'(free access to standard rat chow and water; specific pathogen-free', {u'br': None}, u'conditions; 20\xef\xbf\xbd C; day/night cycle simulated by artificial lighting of', {u'br': None}, u'50 lx from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., dimmed in the remaining hours to', {u'br': None}, u'almost complete darkness; air humidity 50\xef\xbf\xbd60%). Prior to surgery or', {u'br': None}, u'sacrifice, the rats were fasted overnight (16\xef\xbf\xbd18 h) with free access to', {u'br': None}, u'water. All manipulations conformed with the Swiss Federal Guidelines', {u'br': None}, u'on Animal Experiments and were approved by the local ethics', {u'br': None}, u'committee.']
